Zirconium Alumina is an abrasive material produced by electrofusing
zirconium and alumina raw materials in an electric arc furnace, and then
by quenching, crushing and sieving the fused mineral into selected grain
sizes. ZA25 has a compact structure with excellent toughness, hardness,
durability, and grinding performance.
Depending on the application, ZA25 is often far superior to brown fused
alumina, silicon carbide and other traditional abrasive materials.

In accordance with current
FEPA / JIS / ANSI sieve standards.
Used for bonded and coated abrasives such as high-pressure grinding wheels and abrasive belts. Because it can quickly soften metal without burning it, it is an excellent material for grinding steel, cast iron, and alloys of titanium, tungsten, nickel, and aluminum.
Used most often in pressure-blasting very hard surfaces such as granite.
